Privacy

A clear line between your file and our business.

The private editor and the advertising-supported public site are intentionally separated.

Private editor

Selected files, rendered pages, OCR output, detected values, redaction coordinates, and exports remain in the browser. The editor keeps document state in memory for the active session and clears it when you choose Clear, reload, or close the frame.

Public website and advertising

Public pages may use Google AdSense after the required consent choices. Advertising code runs only in the outer marketing context, never in the editor iframe. Advertising services may process ordinary page and network information according to their policies, but FreeRedact does not add document information to those requests.

Public-page analytics

FreeRedact uses Google Analytics on public pages to understand aggregate traffic and site usage. Google may process standard page, device, and network information under its policies. Analytics is not loaded in the private editor, and FreeRedact does not send filenames, OCR text, document hashes, images, finding values, coordinates, or editor activity to Google Analytics.
